“Come the Storm” by Tony Greyfox (part 2 of 2)

Two young creatures find themselves unexpectedly working together to try and end a drought that threatens both their villages.

 Today’s story is the second and final part of “Come the Storm” by Tony Greyfox, which was a runner-up in the Rainfurrest 2014 writing contest and appeared in the next year’s charity anthology. Tony’s work has been in a number of anthologies, including the newly released A Swordmaster’s Tale, from Armoured Fox Press and available on Amazon.

Last time, Talia and Kristan, a deer and bobcat, found themselves unlikely companions in a quest to seek out the answer to a drought that has fallen over their villages. Living under the Pact that protects herbivore from carnivore, the two travel towards the Oakbend Forest through the parched grasslands, but there are other dangers beyond the summer heat to contend with...
